How is my Spare Change calculated?

GivApp records the amount of each of the daily transactions you make from your bank or card. Every 30 days GivApp adds up the amount of “Spare Change” from those transactions. We then give that “Spare Change” to the church or nonprofit you have selected.

When does my Spare Change get donated?

Spare Change is calculated on 30 day cycles. Every 30 days we sum the total Spare Change from your previous 30 day bank transactions and deposit the directly in the bank account of the organization you’ve chosen.

What is a monthly maximum?

When you set up your account you have the ability to determine the maximum amount of spare change you give each month.  For example, if you choose $25 as your monthly maximum, that is the most your Spare Change donation will be. For example,  if during a particular month your spare change equals $32, only $25 of your spare change will be given.

However, if your Spare Change only totals $22, then we will only give $22.

Is it possible to know what my average monthly spare change is?

When you are setting up your account we will tell you what your 30 day average is based on the past 90 days of transactions. But in case you are wondering the average user has about $30 of spare change per month.

What type of accounts can be linked?

You can link any of your bank accounts and credit cards.
